OBJECTIVE: Design and build a safe and stable model rocket and use it to safely lift a fragile payload (one raw hen's egg) to a specific target altitude, then to return the rocket and payload safely and undamaged. Closest to the target altitude, wins.
WHO CAN ENTER:
Students in Years 5 - 9 (Targeted at Year 7 & 8 Students)
* Should rain or wind make it impractical to launch, alternate days are indicated in the schedule.
We've introduced a new format for 2016, to make it even easier to participate.
For teachers, the new format is great - as we take care of managing health and safety at the launch events, you don't need to handle and store the rocket motors, and our staff will be on hand to help solve any problems. Of course if you want to do more in-house, you're welcome to - and the team at Aerospace Education can provide any resources you need.
